Jean, Wanda, and Warren give in to their base desire, the one to be loved and adored. There's no use in pretending there's no chemistry between them.

It's something I've been wanting ever since HoX/PoX. Travel back to a time that predates the formation of X-Force, the time of John Proudstar (Thunderbird), brother of Warpath, the legend destined to be mutantkinds first martyr 40 pages, full color. Really interesting speech from Logan and it's true. Already groups are reacting to Krakoa as they should and it's something that I'm deeply intrigued by. The Good: I'm hooked right from the start. Prelude: The second Dawn of X issue this week and it's the first issue of X-Force too. It was a lot of buildup, but I still think a regular sized issue would have sufficed. Kind of a nitpicky thing, but I noticed this didn't have nearly as much plot as the others. THE BAD: -I think this may have benefitted from a shorter page count.

That was an explosive and incredible ending. I love how we know what's coming even though the characters don't. This issue built up to its finale wonderfully. The one that is used honestly doesn't even feel like it should be. I liked that this used the graphics sparingly.

I think with a world like this, a tight continuity really helps, especially considering how different each of the series are. This issue did a nice job tying in with Marauders, the other best Dawn of X book. Maybe he's found a writing style that works for him, or he just likes writing these characters better than the other heroes he's written. I'm not a Ben Percy fan but so far he seems to be doing well with this series. I like the way the characters are written here. That was a solid opening! It grabbed my attention nicely. Never heard of Cassara before, but he's doing great here. Maybe my favorite Dawn of X book yet, if I'm being honest.
